Hepa Vacuums for Job Sites 

Hepa vacuums are used in several variations from home to commercial and industrial applications. A Vacuum that is of a hepa rating will provide a dustless environment during working and cleaning applications when in operation. There are several different model styles and rating conditions of a hepa rated vacuum and needs and uses of the system will require knowledge of the type of particle and debris one is wishing to filter from the air. When using a hepa vauum system on a job site the particular debris created by certain jobs will provide variations in the best applications of a hepa vacuum.

For building and construction sites, a hepa vacuum can be used in several variations to provide a clean and safe work environment. For new builds, a vacuum system is used to maintain a clean work environment and to remove harmful particles. Harmful particles that can be found in a new build site will depend on the types of material used in the build process. Dust particulates caused by cutting and construction will commonly be from wood materials, and sheetrock as well as tile and metal fixtures. These particulates can be harmful to health if exposure is on a high frequency and regular basis.

Commercial grade hepa vacuums will be used to clean work areas after cutting and fitting has been performed. As well, there are attachments available that will fit various cutting, grinding and finishing tools that will remove particulates in process. When cutting wood planks or beams a hepa vacuum system with dust attachments can be used on the saw and are made to improve safety functions and health of the operator. A cyclone vacuum system will be used to remove the dust particulates at the point of cutting. The filters then keep the smaller fine particles from escaping the dirt housing of the vacuum.

Several other tools used in construction and building on a job site will have special attachments made to fit those specified tools. A dust control attachment for a drill will be different from one used for a grinder or sander and the differences with in those categories. For a drill, the attachments can also vary to better adapt to various models and styles of drills. Grinders and sander may offer the most varying degrees of types and models. Some grinders or sanders will operate on air or electrical power and can vary in size and angle. Some grinders will have a 45 or 90 degree elbow for various uses different that those which have a straight shaft. These differences can affect the type of vacuum attachment one would use.

Not only will tools determine the type of attachments one would need for a hepa vacuum on a job site but cleaning applications can also provide differences. Attachments made for cleaning floors and walls can be used in sweeping and brushing fashions to free particulates to be easily removed. A brush attachment can be used to remove fine particles that can easily adhere to raw building surfaces in humid or static environment depending on seasonal and weather conditions. A humid environment can leave traces of dust on walls, floors and ceiling that will not be noticed until the conditions change. Using a brush attachment on a hepa vacuum will increase the cleaning ability of the system and remove fine particles easy before they are able to become air born.

Other jobsites that use carpentry and construction type equipment that will create many air particulates can be in refurbishing and replacement factors. A job site in a refurbish capacity may not only create harmful material that need to be filtered but demolish and cleaning processes performed before a build process can create several types of harmful materials to become air born. There are special systems that are graded more strictly to remove toxic particulates and will have denser filter uses. Asbestos, lead and mold are three of the most dangerous particulates that can become airborne in a job site that requires a type of remodel or refurbish.

Tools that are used in removing dangerous materials such as paint scrapers can be used with attachments in accordance with a hepa vacuum. By using a dustless paint scraper attachment it is possible to remove all the dangerous material such as lead based paint and asbestos dust safely and with in codes made to protect the workers, and the environment. For large jobs or renovations in which the portions of particulates may be extreme a dust bubble can be employed using a commercial hepa vacuum system to sectional protect large areas from exposing dangerous materials to the air.
